Merlot Wrap

Content: Merino Wool and Tencel

Measurements: approx 236cm x 50cm (92” x 20”)

This is a truly special piece, made from hand-dyed fine merino wool with a soft check pattern created from tencel yarn in warm shades of brown, red, and purple. After weaving, I felted the fabric to give it a beautifully soft, cosy texture and a slightly puckered surface that adds depth and character.

As a final touch, I embroidered lazy daisy stitches—starting densely at one end and gradually becoming more scattered toward the middle. Each little bloom is finished with a tiny brass bead at its centre.

Whether worn as a wrap or draped over a chair or sofa, it invites you to snuggle in and enjoy its warmth and softness.
This piece was definitely a labour of love.
