Merlot Wrap

Content: Merino Wool and Tencel

Measurements: approx 236cm x 50cm (92” x 20”)

This is a very special piece made from hand dyed fine merino wool with a check pattern of tencel yarn in brown, red and purple. I then felted this piece to create a very cosy soft wrap with a “puckered” look. The final touch was embroidering in lazy daisy stitch…starting with a lot and graduating to just a scattering further towards the middle. These were finished with a little brass bead at their centre.

When not being worn this could easily be thrown on a chair or sofa and snuggled under.

This piece was definitely a labour of love.
