Paua Wrap

This scarf is woven in eight different hand-dyed colourways, creating a soft, shifting blend of tones throughout the piece. Between these, I’ve added stripes of tencel in shades of blue and green, which bring a gentle sheen and enhance the overall drape.
The result is a lightweight scarf with a beautiful flow and texture. It’s wide enough to be worn as a wrap, making it a versatile addition to any wardrobe—whether layered for warmth or styled for colour and interest.
This scarf is made using a technique called collapse weave, which involves weaving with a fine high-twist wool. As the fabric relaxes, it creates a subtle pleated texture and a gentle elasticity, giving the piece both movement and softness.
