Tropicalia Scarf / Wrap

Content: Cotton, Merino Wool, Alpaca and Silk

Measurements: approx 174cm x 64cm + 15cm fringe (68” x 25” + 6″ fringe)

A bright and funky handwoven scarf full of colour. I had great fun putting together this combination of bold, vibrant colours to create a scarf that is guaranteed to brighten up an outfit.

This is the first time I have used a weaving technique called clasped weft, where two different weft colours are interlocked as they are woven. It creates an interesting pattern and allows the colours to mingle and change throughout the scarf.

Finished with a twisted fringe, adding another little detail to this colourful scarf.

This pattern is based on a design by Jane Stafford Textiles.
